Installing the extensions
To install the extensions included in the product package you will need the Macromedia Extension Manager. The Extension Manager comes pre-installed with your installation of Dreamweaver. If for some reason you do not have the Extension Manager installed refer to the instructions for installing extensions notes on our site for assistance.
For most extensions you will need to re-boot Dreamweaver in order for the newly installed extension to become accessible.
Mac File Permissions
If the zip package is un-openable due to insufficient privileges, follow the steps below to gain access to the files.
- Highlight the file. Click the Apple and the i key at the same time (or go to file and click get info)
- In this menu there is a section for permissions. Make sure that it says Read Only.
- There is a also a section that says "Open with" . You can change it to Stuffit Expander and then it changes the file icon on your desktop (or where ever you have your file) to a stuffit zip file
- Then all you have to do is click on that file and it opens up.
Without Permissions ( prohibits access )
Read Only Permissions - ( allows access )
