Any time you add new Full Size Images to your image folder(s) you must create and upload the new thumbnails. You can create your thumbnails from the Main Interface or from the eZeeThumb Creator. This extension allows you to do several things.
Note: The eZeeThumb Creator can be used to optimize and export images for other projects as well. It is not limited only to the eZeeGallery.
The eZeeGallery Main interface allows you to create your thumbnails automatically when building or making updates to your gallery.
There may be times when you have several image folders but have added new Full Images to only one and do not want to update all of the folders. You can launch the eZeeThumb Creator by itself to accomplish this.

There are two ways to use the eZeeGalleryThumb Creator. It can be launched by Dreamweaver when creating or making edits to your gallery by checking the "Run Fireworks" option in the "eZeeGallery Main" interface or it can be accessed and used independently.
After launching the interface, browse to the folder of Full Images for which you wish to create or update the thumbnails. Set the Full Images width. Check whether you want the Full Images optimized or leave them as they are.
Set the widths you want for the Thumbnails, and finally set the optimization method for both the Full Images and the Thumbnails.
Click OK and Fireworks will launch to begin the process of resizing and optimizing the images. When it has completed it will alert you that all of the images have been exported successfully.

Set the width you wish the Full Size Images to be resized to.
Note: Only the width of the Full Images is available for changing. The optimization process will scale the image to precisley match the height to the images new width value.

If this option is checked the interface will optimize and size the Full Size Images to the Format and Size you have selected. If this option is not selected, the Full Size images will not be updated or changed in any way and will remain as you have placed them in the folder.

If you have images in your Full Images folder that have a smaller width than what you have specified in the "Full Images Width" field, you have the option of resizing them to that value, or leaving them at the size they are. Checking this option will leave the smaller images alone and not resize them. If it is checked it will resize the smaller images to the "larger" width you have specified in the "Full Images Width" field.

Both the Full Images and Thumbnails can be formatted differently as chosen from these options. They can be exported as jpgs or as gifs in either "Better Quality", "Medium Quality", or "Smaller File" formats. The Better Quality setting will produce a cleaner sharper better quality image, however it will be of a greater size image file.
If The GIF or JPEG options are chosen all of the images in the folder will be exported as the format selected, either GIF or JPEG.
The Existing Format options is soley for if you have mixed image formats in your image folder(s).
If you have mixed format images in your folders ( gifs and jpgs ) and want to keep export them as they are you would select one of the "Existing Format choices. Using this option all of the images in the folder will retain its format as a GIF or JPEG image.
If you do not have mixed image formats in the same folder(s) you can use either the "Existing Format", or any the other options.
Clicking OK will launch Fireworks to begin the process of opening each full size image, creating an optimized thumbnail from it and exporting it to the "thumbs" folder inside of your full image folder. If the "Optimize Full Images" is checked, the Full Size images will be resized and optimized as well.
If you have more than one image folder associated with your gallery and have the "Run Fireworks" option checked in Dreamweaver with the eZeeGallery Main Interface open, the eZeeThumb Creator Interface will launch allowing you to make your selections for export. Clicking OK will then open Fireworks and execute the process.
When it has finished with the first folder of images it will open again for the next folder in your gallery. This process will continue until all of your image folders associated with your gallery have been processed.
If you wish to do only one folder, leave the "Run Fireworks" checkbox in the eZeeGallery Main Interface unchecked and run the eZeeThumb Creator by itself.
Note: As stated throughout the User Manual, It
is recommended to upload the entire "
"
folder after making any changes to the gallery. This will assure that any
changes you have made will be updated completely.
